The assignment
From operational problem to working product.
Amalooloo provides eco-friendly sanitation solutions across South Africa. Its work runs on physical logistics: units are delivered, installed, inspected and maintained by teams that spend most of their day away from a desk.
Challenge
Deliveries, installations, maintenance and quality control each produced their own paperwork, and none of it joined up. The office needed one dependable operating picture of the fleet, while field teams needed something they could actually use on site, including loading sheets, delivery notes and inspection reports captured at the point of work.
Approach
We mapped the operational flow across office and field teams before designing anything, then built two connected surfaces around it: a web application for planning, oversight and organisational management, and a mobile application for the crews doing the physical work. Each role sees the decisions it owns, and every record is captured once.
Outcome
Amalooloo now runs delivery, installation, maintenance and quality-control workflows through a single bespoke system. Office and field teams work from the same records, and the supply chain is documented from loading sheet to maintenance report.
